FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT THE U.S. SOCCER GIRLS FANTASY CAMP
+ WHAT IS THE U.S. SOCCER GIRLS FANTASY CAMP?
The Girls Fantasy Camp is the most exclusive fan-player opportunity offered by U.S. Soccer. Led by former U.S. Soccer Women National team players, this Fantasy Camp provides young players with VIP behind-the-scenes experiences and an environment that mirrors a Youth National Team Camp. They will also attend the SheBelieves Cup doubleheader, U.S. WNT vs. England and Japan vs. Brazil matches on Saturday, March 2.
+ WHEN AND WHERE WILL THE U.S. SOCCER GIRLS FANTASY CAMP BE HELD?
The U.S. Soccer Fantasy Camp will be hosted in Nashville, Tennessee from 1:00 pm on Friday, March 1 through 1:00 pm on Monday, March 4.
+ WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN THE CAMP?
To participate in the U.S. Soccer Girls Fantasy Camp, a player must have been born in the years 2005, 2006 or 2007. U.S. Soccer has limited the age groups to ensure the safety of all players and to create an age-appropriate playing environment.
+ ARE THERE ANY SKILL-LEVEL REQUIREMENTS?
No. Players of all skill levels are welcome at the U.S. Soccer Girls Fantasy Camp.
+ MY DAUGHTER WAS NOT BORN IN 2005, 2006 OR 2007. CAN SHE STILL PARTICIPATE IN CAMP?
No. In order to ensure the safety of the players and to create an age-appropriate playing environment, all campers must be born in the years indicated. The Fantasy Camp is a very small program – the size of a National Team camp roster. The age range allows U.S. Soccer staff and Camp Coaches to provide the best developmental experience possible for all participants.
+ WILL THE CAMPERS MEET ANY OF THE CURRENT NATIONAL TEAM PLAYERS?
While there may be some informal opportunities to interact with the senior team, please know that U.S. Soccer CANNOT guarantee any meetings or autographs as part of the Girls Fantasy Camp experience.
+ HOW DOES A PARTICIPANT RESERVE A SPOT?
Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. U.S. Soccer encourages you to reserve your place as soon as possible. To reserve a spot, please complete the online registration form (right click to open in new window). For more information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call 312-528-1261.
+ WE LIVE IN THE AREA. CAN MY DAUGHTER JUST PARTICIPATE IN THE TRAINING AND ATTEND THE MATCH?
The U.S. Soccer Girls Fantasy Camp is meant to mirror a Youth National Team Camp training environment. Campers will train together, eat together, and stay in the hotel together. In order to keep this experience as authentic as possible and provide the best experience for all participants, Camp opportunities cannot be broken out into different parts.
+ MY DAUGHTER IS ATTENDING ALONE; WILL THIS AFFECT HER EXPERIENCE? WHO WILL SHE ROOM WITH?
No. Similar to Youth National Team Camps, campers will be traveling alone from all over the country. The majority of past campers from all U.S. Soccer Girls Fantasy Camps have attended the camp on her own.
Just as at Youth National Team Camps, each player is assigned a roommate. U.S. Soccer attempts to match campers from the same state or area, and of roughly the same age. Should your daughter be attending camp with a friend or another family member, we can attempt to accommodate rooming requests. However, this is not guaranteed. Please speak with U.S. Soccer staff ahead of the trip to review options.
A quote from a past camper who attended on her own: "The fantasy camp helped me to re-gain my confidence as a player, while meeting wonderful people along the way.”
A quote from a past parent of a Camper who travelled alone: “When people ask us about her experience we can honestly say we're not sure we've ever seen her happier in her entire life than she was when she was at Camp. And you're welcome to quote us on that”.
+ MY DAUGHTER IS TRAVELING TO THE CAMP ON HER OWN. WHO WILL PICK HER UP AND DROP HER OFF AT THE AIRPORT?
Just as at Youth National Team Camps, transportation will be provided to and from the airport by U.S. Soccer staff. A staff member will be located at the closest waiting area holding a welcome sign with the campers’ name to clearly identify themselves. At the end of Camp, U.S. Soccer staff will walk the player into the airport, help check them in, and wait until they are through security.
Please note U.S. Soccer highly discourages registering your daughter as an unaccompanied minor for her travel.
+ WILL THERE BE CAMP COUNSELORS, OR PEOPLE TO LOOK AFTER THE PARTICIPANTS DURING CAMP?
Yes. U.S. Soccer staff and former Women’s National Team players will manage the campers while they are not at training.
Outside of trainings and the WNT match, campers will have scheduled activities including meals, leadership seminars with former WNT players, a pre-game party and more. Campers will be asked to adhere to a strict professional code of conduct that is in line with a Youth National Team Camp environment. Campers who cannot adhere to U.S. Soccer guidelines during Camp will be asked to leave at their own expense.

Should your participant need to cancel, all payments made will automatically be recognized as tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Campers who need to cancel their registration for the Girls Fantasy Camp in Nashville also have the option to use their payment as a credit for a future Fantasy Camp with U.S. Soccer.
