In 2018, U.S. Soccer launched the Federation’s first coaching education scholarship geared exclusively at supporting National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) players. Through the generous contributions of donors like you, more than 20 players received full financial aid to participate in a women-only USSF C License course customized to fit their league and international playing schedules.

This year, U.S. Soccer is expanding the program and taking the next step — offering the higher-level USSF B License course cost-free to qualified NWSL players and former professional players.

ABOUT THE 2020-21 COURSE

Dates: Fall 2020 to Spring 2021

The B License is focused on the principles of team and long-term player development and serves as the foundation for the A & Pro Licenses. To safely adapt amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the candidates will take part in a blended-learning approach through both virtual learning environments and one five-day in-person course meeting at the National Development Center in Kansas City in 2021. The course also includes a development and mentoring period to practically apply learnings between classroom experiences.

You can provide a valuable opportunity for current and former female professional players by contributing:

  • $1,500 — Support ONE player to take this women-only B License course

  • $4,500 — Support THREE players

  • $7,500 — Support FIVE players

  • $15,000 — Support TEN players

  • $21,000 — Underwrite half of the course

  • Other — Contribute another amount of your choice
